What color shoes should the bridesmaids wear?

My sister is getting married Feb.17th and us bridesmaids can’t decide on what color shoes to wear with our dress! The dress is a mid calf satin red strapless dress. Its a simple dress with just a tiny bow at the waist (kind of on the side) in the same color fabric…. I have even seen it called a 50’s a-line dress. We really don’t want to do the whole dyed to match shoes but the bride’s only request is that we all wear the same shoes (with the dress being shorter). Any suggestions?

I would go for black shoes with a small heel. if you are going to be wearing jewelry go for a color that best matches it. If you are going to wear black, maybe go for a black necklace. Also, if you are wearing anything in your hair you can try and coordinate that.

I would go for a simple black shoe. Since it will still be considered Winter…black would be in style. Black works well with red and just about any accessories.

Where it is a winter wedding, and you don’t wish to wear shoes that match the dress, I’d suggest that you all wear black shoes, with the possible addition of a matching small red bow.

How about tasteful gold shoes. I think red would look best though

The bridesmaids should wear shoes white or black shoes. Is a nice color and she can wear them again in the future.

You girls should wear white sandals, covered toes and heels, and high heels. That would look so cute.

I would go with silver or black and find something else that will compliment whatever color they are. Silver shoes, silver earing, silver hairclips, nails…Black shoes , black purse…or maybe just add a ribbon of that color around your boquets. Silver and black should be easy to find and come in a variety of styles, sizes, and prices which also may be important since being a bridesmaid can sometimes also be expensive. Just remember what’s most important is what the bride likes whether you do or not. While I’m sure she’ll want all of you to look beautiful her tastes may not be the same as yours. Hope this helps and you have lots of fun

Hmm well you could go for a white cream or black but all of those are a bit overdone.
So if you want a unique and classy look I’d go with a gold colored shoe. Or if silver better fits the theme of the wedding go with that.
Just make sure that the shoes don’t outshine the bride. Keep them clean and simple. And try to avoid sparkle or rinestones.
Best of luck!
And best wishes to your sister!

my first gut instinct would be black..especially since dress is not floor length. You could also do metallic, gold or silver depending on what the other colors are for the wedding. As far as style, if indoors, I would do a nice strappy sandal. Since it is near valentine’s day, I always see that motif with red, black, gold, silver. white and cream would be a bit too jarring. And likely the first thing you would see when you look at the bridesmaids. Red is a very tricky color to have dyed to match shoes done. I tried taht for my brother’s wedding and they wear not dark enough and looked more fuschia than dark red.
